Saudi Telecom staff takes training on
'Oracle Forms Developer'

SSC News Release, July 22, 2003

RIYADH -- Nine employees from the Saudi Telecom, Business Support Systems (BSS) division and one student-trainee from Prince Sultan University have benefited from a training course being sponsored by Saudi Systems Corporation (SSC).

The course's objective is to introduce to the participants the new features of Oracle Forms Developer and provide them with more knowledge of application development.

The participants from Saudi Telecom range from database administrators to technical consultants and application developers.

SSC?s senior applications developers Tarek Abu Shabana, and Azam Ali Khan alternately facilitated the course which ran from July 8 to July 20, 2003.

The training course was offered exclusively to Saudi Telecom staff free of charge.

The course, dubbed Oracle Forms Developer: Build Internet Applications I & II, is an instructor-led course featuring lecture and hands-on exercises. There were online demonstrations and written practice sessions in order to reinforce the concepts and skills introduced.

In this course, the participants have built, tested, and deployed interactive Internet applications. Working in a graphical user interface (GUI) environment, the participants have learned how to create and customize forms with user input items such as check boxes, list items, and radio groups. Also they were taught how to modify data access by creating event-related triggers.

Muhammad Abdulrahman, SSC Vice-President for IT Consultancy, is organizing the training courses.

The next training on schedule is ?Oracle Reports Development,? which is expected to start last week of July 2003.
