Al-Yamamah Press Est. to upgrade its Eskonet system

SSC News Release, July 20, 2003

RIYADH - Al-Yamamah Press Est., a major client of Saudi Systems Corporation (SSC), is upgrading its Esko-Graphics? Eskonet workflow to its latest version.

Eskonet workflow, which consists both of software and hardware, is a major part of Computer-to-Plate (CtP) technology.

The latest version of Eskonet has been integrated with imposition in addition to the system?s current functions such as pagepairing, RIP, production management control, to name a few of its features.

Imposition is the solution when it comes to organizing commercial printing jobs such as magazines, posters, books and others. Imposition will prepare the pages for plate output.

Al-Yamamah Press Est. has opted for the upgrade in order to prepare the system for its massive commercial production requirements. Foremost of this is the pre-press works for Al-Yamamah weekly magazine and the monthly book of "Al-Riyadh".

SSC's Electronic Prepress Systems under SSC's Systems Integration division is commissioned by Al-Yamamah Press Est. to implement the system upgrade that will take place sometime in the middle of September 2003.

Since 2001, Al-Yamamah Press Est. has been successfully using a CtP system installed and completed by SSC together with its vendor-partner Purup-Eskofot, a company later on merged with Barco Graphics to form Esko-Graphics.
