Saudi Telecom
Our Strategic Business Partner

As the sole provider of telecommunications services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Saudi Telecom (ST) is currently serving more than eight million customers in fixed network and mobile services. Since its privatization in 1998, ST has challenged itself by setting its objective to build more infrastructure in four years than what was built in the previous 30 years.

Saudi Systems Corporation (SSC) became ST's strategic partner in its e-business enterprises and consequently, in ST's continued growth and development.

As the joint-venture partner of Oracle in Saudi Arabia, SSC successfully implemented the following projects with ST:

  • Provision of Oracle e-business licenses, technical support and training.
  • Implementation and customization of Oracle e-Business suite of    applications.
  • Implementation of Oracle Financial Analyzer System.
  • Operation and maintenance of the Business Support Systems (BSS)
  • Supervising all implementations of new Oracle Applications in ST carried out by  major international firms.

Business Support System

Using Oracle E-Business Applications, SSC is the only vendor in the Kingdom that manages the technical and business aspects of ST's Business Support Systems (ST-BSS) division.

Due to the complexity and sophistication of this venture, ST-BSS is considered as one of the major IT support projects in the Kingdom and in the entire Middle East region. It is the largest Oracle e-Business project outside the US with 550 secured licenses.

SSC currently deploys 28 of its highly-qualified IT professionals to handle the technical activities throughout the ST-BSS division.

Moreover, SSC has three HP Unix consultants resident in ST, to support the new HP9000 servers especially HP Service Guard environment.

SSC's task with ST covers more than 19 districts, 44 sites, 24,000 employees and 450 customer-service locations Kingdom-wide. All of which are managed by exceptionally accurate and secured operations on financials, HRMS and payroll, procurement, inventory, sales and financial analyses, order management and others.

Around 24,000 ST employees have their salaries automatically transferred to their banks and receive their payslip directly from the system being notified by e-mail and self-service facilities.

More than 700 application users perform their day-to-day transactions and activities under the supervision of SSC's dedicated senior consultants.

SSC ensures that its project structure at ST-BSS is flexible enough to manage changes brought by the business' dynamic nature.

Reliability

Within the Saudi Arabian market, SSC has a proven track record in the implementation of Oracle Applications. Our successes are backed by project references and satisfied customers who bring us repeated business. We are confident, that on the basis of objective comparisons, SSC can be shown as the provider of the most reliable and cost-effective solutions for ERP applications available in the regional marketplace.

Technology Transfer

SSC has committed itself to transfer technology to ST through the training of ST manpower. SSC has been regularly conducting series of training courses for them. SSC does this via surveys in order to define the vital skills required for each individual user.

SSC recognizes that transferring its technical know-how would enable ST employees to become self sufficient and capable in handling their day-to-day operations.

SSC's proven and excellent track record with ST has made SSC a strategic partner in realizing ST's vision to be a world-class communication service provider in the Kingdom. #
